First and foremost, I want to thank all of you for speaking up for the repressed silent majority of Hong Kong where the indigenous corporate giants collude with their international counterparts to rule the city with an iron fist with the connivance of its criminally incompetent government and politicians. I am a recent repatriate from New York City (where else?) after a long stay of 30 years. Naturally I wholeheartedly endorse and support your movement.

我喜欢左翼21的政纲和对社会主义的追求。我信仰社会民主主义。
我研究马克思主义，希望以马克思的思想，修正和发展马克思主义，解决人类社会面临的亟待解决的各种严重问题。我认为：西方列强为维护其霸权，大搞所谓“颜色革命”，多次公开武力颠覆第三世界的合法政权，在伊拉克、阿富汗、利比亚等国制造了深重的人道主义灾难，更妄图进一步将战火蔓延至叙利亚和伊朗，制造更大的全球性灾难，以延缓资本主义的寿命，延续西方资本主义对世界经济资源的垄断和政治话语的霸权。几百年来，资本追求剩余价值的冲动，水银泻地般地灌输超前消费意识，奢靡浪费成为时尚，造成穷奢极欲，寅吃卯粮；资不抵债，入不敷出；使资本主义彻底走入破产的不归之路。欧美各国的经济陷入破产或严重衰退的动荡，导致帝国主义霸主纠集其仆从铤而走险，发动针对中国的战争或将中国卷入战争的风险日益加大。在全球动荡不景气和战争阴霾的笼罩之下，世界呼唤马克思主义给出医治良方。资本主义已经走入末路穷途，未来人类社会的发展模式，有待于在新的历史条件下对马克思主义进行新的解读和发展，从中找到新的方向。可以设想，在地球有限资源的前提下，人类应该回到有计划、按比例、可持续发展的轨道上，以解决国际和国内争端。未来人类社会的发展模式，有赖于重新解读并发展创新马克思主义。可以设想，马克思倡导的扬弃异化，实现人的本性回归，人的聪明才智获得极大发展的时代即将来临。可以预期，马克思主义返本开新，全面发展的时代已经初露端倪。
